Greetings from South Africa!

On our journey, we've come to experience that God's path for us is greater than our own plans, thoughts, and even dreams. The mission work we do here is hard and challenging, but is very rewarding when we see the fruits of our labor.

We believe our sins are forgiven, that we are children of God, and that we are loved by God. We have confidence of eternal life. We believe Christ is the hope and light of the world, and we are called to share His light and hope with everyone.

As missionaries living in South Africa we are sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in prisons and communities challenged with gang violence.

We balance three ministry fields.

1. Hope Prison Ministry (HPM)

Marco serves as a lead volunteer at the Boland Office and HPM’s Internship Coordinator. Marco received his Desert Waters Corrections Fatigue to Fulfillment teaching certification this past year to present to Correctional Officers. Amelia volunteers by teaming with Marco in the aftercare field, assisting with reports, and is currently organizing and redecorating the Boland office. We connect with both of our Bible Study and Restorative Justice students, communities, and their families.

2. Hillsong Mitchell's Plain Church

Marco volunteers with leading, speaking, and shepherding the people who attend. Currently Marco and Amelia are helping lead a BUILD Leadership course online with families and leaders from our church. We are involved with the Operations team that leads pastoral care and prayer meetings. The drive from Wellington to Mitchell’s Plain is a one hour drive to attend church, so we are really in need of financial help with transportation costs.

3. An up and coming ministry that is being founded by our friends in Germany who help run an annual Christian soccer camp with Youth from Mitchell’s Plain. Marco is one of the South African volunteers and a point of contact for coordinating the local mission work.

We are excited for this new website as a way to share our journey with our friends and family! Know that we are praying for you, all the way from South Africa!
