♥ Colour Conference 2022 ♥

♡ Greetings to our amazing family and community of supporters ♡

Our most humble apologies for being quiet for so long. Our world was heavily rocked at the end 0f 2021. Unfortunately in the span of eleven days on September 28 and October 9, 2021 two beloved men in our lives passed away. Marco's dad, and one of his closest friends - Keith Lawrence from our local church that Marco served together with for many, many years. Keith went to be with Jesus on the morning of Marco's dad's funeral. We have been navigating our grief each day, and will share more about this in another post at a later stage, as it's still very painful to write about. We are just starting to get back into a "normal" routine. We have been taking time to be intentional with making memories and focusing on holistic health for us as a family since the New Year.

We are excited to announce that we just got confirmation for hosting another Colour Conference Watch Party at Pollsmoor Prison's Recreation Hall on March 12th. Once again, we will be serving women who are correctional officers, ex-offenders, staff and volunteers from Hope Prison Ministry, and Hillsong South Africa, as well as family & friends of the above! ☺


Colour Conference is a part of a global SISTERHOOD movement! Next weekend we will gather with women of all ages and pray, worship, and experience encouraging teachings together. The amazing part is our sisters joining us from around the world and across South Africa will also be tuning in at the exact same time! We are looking forward to meeting new faces, stir faith in one another, pamper all the girls, and soak in the presence of God together. We need your help to make Saturday, March 12th the BEST DAY possible! We really want to welcome and value the women of the corrections community who walk into the conference who just need a moment to be served (as their jobs are very stressful and hard), or for the ladies to come as they are and just be still and know that they are beautiful and loved and treasured!


One of the biggest financial needs is the catering. We are believing for 50 women to RSVP! We would love to provide lunch, some refreshments, and coffee / tea for the day. Our fundraising goal is R4000 which is about $260. One of my favorite parts about registering for Colour Conference is all of the Masterclasses that are directly available to you on demand. Last year, I would watch & listen to the masterclasses while cooking and cleaning. The messages were really profound and thought provoking in a time where I was struggling with mental health. I am really looking forward to what is being prepared for this year! ♡
